ALLIANCE COUNSELING

This was a redesign for a counseling business in utah that was in dire need of a face lift.. and just an all around redesign. As a business they were doing well- steady flow of appointments, loyal clients with high retention rates, and doctors with genuine character.

With recent investment in the website's advertising and SEO, the business didn't see much success or growth in new clients scheduling appointments. The website lacked a hooking aesthetic as well as solid content and information to give a new user the assurance that they are signing up for a reliable and professional counselor/therapist.

Hero

I created a video loop of different individuals that could tell a story viscerally. If a picture is worth a hundred words, video can create a connection.

The primary call to action is to "Get an appointment" while the secondary call to action refers the user to see the different services that are offered through Alliance Counseling. This initiates the user's journey, helping them to see the variety of expertise that is available and validates the eligibility of the business while exposing the commonality of different issues that many people face and seek treatment for. Which also does the job of normalizing and erasing the stigma of the topics/adversities people face. 

Questionaire

This bit is intended for the user who is seeking counseling/might  be on the fence of actually seeing a therapist to help them get engaged with simple clicks on the tabs that would relate to them in a non-intimidating way. It also helps the business collect data of who is visiting the site and what they are specifically seeking. Once they click on an answer, the question and answer choices change to another, once finished with all questions, the user is prompted to schedule an appointment with the answers submitted to the counseling service to give the therapists background on their client and choose the best therapist for them.

What many are experiencing

The purpose of this section is to inform the user of common issues that they might be experiencing while depleting the stigma of having these issues in an interactive form.

Trust is vital in therapy

One message that the business owners really wanted to imply was the availability of their counseling. If a potential client needed to speak to a therapist to gain trust and just talk about something they are going through As long as the therapist isn't in an appointment they are willing to provide a sample session seeing as in the past, that has brought a strong, consistent clientele.

Located on every page, this is the section is representative as an add on (such as Calendly) for a more seamless method of scheduling an appointment. Though, this isn't exactly how this section would appear, I threw together a visual representation of what it would generally look like.

THERAPY TYPES AND SERVICES

I organized the service structure of the business to demonstrate the options clearly for the user to choose the service that best applies to them. While "couples therapy" and "addiction recovery" may both be services, I created a concise hierarchy of two groups: Services and Common Topics.

The services show four different therapy types and show a short description once in a hover state. Once clicked, the user is taken to a different page where there is more in depth information about the specific therapy type. Each page is shown below.

Common Topics

This section interacts with the user by populating below with information on whichever topic the user has selected. My goal was to create a clean informational architecture where the user could see all of the topics at a glance and understand them through their associated iconography and delve deeper into each subject with information provided from the therapists at Alliance Counseling.

One thing I would change in this section would be adding a call to action button to schedule an appointment.
